Chiefs Message

The Town of Nottingham is a beautiful historic community. Situated among other small-town communities, and only a thirty-minute drive to the seacoast, Nottingham has a vast area of trails, mountains, and a wonderful State Park that includes Pawtuckaway Lake. Nottingham is host to rural farmlands, rivers, lakes and ponds, and a well-established population along Rte. 4, Rte. 156, and Rte. 152, and many neighborhoods, both historic and new. I began working for the Nottingham Police Department in 2008 and was able to work through the ranks of Senior Patrol Officer, Corporal, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. I was fortunate and honored to be able to teach the D.A.R.E. Program at the Nottingham Elementary School for 10 years. I have had advanced training, in leadership, budgets, crisis intervention, active shooter, and critical incident management. I am currently the Town’s

Nottingham Police Department

Emergency Management Director and have completed several advanced trainings for this role. I built my home in Nottingham 10 years ago and reside here with my family. My children attend Nottingham Elementary School, and I am proud to be a resident, coach and Chief, to the town I call home.

Nottingham Police Department strives to provide fair and impartial service to everyone, including our citizens as well as those visiting or passing through. All of our officers are dedicated members of the Nottingham community, working in concert with both the Town's and State's governmental boards and departments, various identified community groups, and a plethora of surrounding agencies. It is imperative that we partner with all of the community members to keep Nottingham safe and livable.

Nottingham Police Department has 8 full time police officers and 1 part-time officer, with a combined experience of over 75 years. We provide service to the community of Nottingham 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With law enforcement best practices changing constantly, we are always reviewing, adjusting, and adapting our responses, policies and training. When the Opioid crisis creeped into New Hampshire, our officers attended training to become certified in Narcan deployment, and with the ever-pervasive number of active shooter incidents happening throughout the United States daily, we have completed several hours of trainings in active shooter scenarios. We work closely with the Nottingham Fire Department to ensure the fastest response for medical emergencies, fire alarms and many other scenarios. We utilize regional teams to maximize resources, such as the Seacoast Emergency Response Team (SERT), the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, the Child Advocacy Center (CAC), New Hampshire State Police (NHSP) Major Crimes and Crash Reconstruction Team, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) drug investigation units, Division of Children Youth and Families (DCYF) and many more.

Please feel free to call or stop by the police department if you have any questions, concerns, or feedback. We welcome the opportunity to work with you on any safety-related venture!
